I’m working on a new design for my website (actually a complete overhaul) and therefore on the logo as well (http://phenomate.com). I’d like to get some feedback in general on the logo as I’m the “uber-noob” in terms of artistic creativity and stuff and I’ve no idea if it’s plain crap for others or if it’s at least to some degree “acceptable”.

Regarding the idea: the circles and lines form some kind of hierarchy of entities and their variations (esoteric point: anarchic hierarchy but it’s still “under control”).

Chosen font is “Impact” as I thought it matches the 2-Bit color style of the logo. I plan to do the rest of the website in a similar style of course (me being a fan of dark and minimalistic websites).

Personal Logo Design Help

There are various types of logo listed on this one file, as this is a personal project. I’m not a logo designer, I mainly do layout work of finished products. Corporate manuals, catalogs and things of that nature. However, I would like to start a site or online portfolio showcasing some work I’ve done. 

The reason there are several logos on here with variations is due to my lack of satisfaction, having a small amount of understanding type and logo design. I’ve put together briefs and have done numerous sketches. From the first logos I submitted to other online forums, I’ve narrowed it down a bit. 

I would like to know if these give off any meaning, evoke any feelings or encourage you to think that this is for a creative agency of some sort. I wanted the logo to be fun, youthful and a bit aggressive. While I’m not sure I’ve achieved that, I am starting to like the more minimal aspect of the design. 

I would appreciate any help with type, spacing, and placing of logo mark over/around type. Does this type work? Is the mark effective enough to convey that this is a creative mark and not a mark for lights, electrical work, etc? Would it be functional on a banner, on a card, or displayed in a booth? Granted there will be marketing to go along with it, but I want to know if this might hold up. I wanted to take on this task myself so feel free to have at it and be as critical as you’d like. I’m open to feedback, suggestions and thoughts that will help me finalize the logo mark. Thank you for your time and thoughts, it is greatly appreciated. Positive Productions Plus Logo

Hello Graham (and all the other eyeballs),

First off, I would like to say thank you for taking time out of your schedule to help others better their work and their skills – it’s truly refreshing in today’s world!

I’m running late for work, so I will try and keep this brief. Your submission form is blocked by the firewall at my place of work, so I have to do this from home (which is probably best anyway).

Ok, enough with the chatter. This is the last iteration of the logo that both the client and I are happy with, but I would like to tweak it for maximum impact. Actually, the logo looks nice and corporate like, but it is really for a creative company that will support just about any “positive” production (music, art, book publishing, cartoon, 3D animation, ect).

I rounded the inside corners of the boxes to highlight the “plus” and to make it look a little less “hey, anyone could do that…” and to give it some interest. I also rounded the corners on the capital “P” in both Positive and Productions. The “S” is slightly modified as well. If you are interested, the font is Bitstream Vera Sans Bold. I started working with 144pt font size but intend to scale it back to a more manageable size for the actual logo.

What are your thoughts on the location of the negative space plus? Should it be like the first one in the screenshot, the third (it seems too closed to me), or something like the last one?

Any tips, hints, or improvements would be appreciated!
