Hi there,

I’m currently a senior in high school and I’m working on a portfolio of comprehensive projects to submit to the various art colleges I’m applying to. My first project was to re-brand U-Haul. I’ve done this totally independently and haven’t heard any feedback or advice on it at all. You can see the entirety of my process and further application of the logo (trucks, website, etc.) here: http://issuu.com/justinbarber/docs/uhaulrebrand
(I accidentally saved it the wrong way, so each page should actually be two individual pages)
Love to hear what you all have the think. Thanks!
Hi Graham,
First off, what do you think of the overall logo? It is for a local cover band which is made up of three female singers.
Now to my question…I am just looking for some professional input on a minor adjustment to the type choice. I am currently using Palatino font and wanted to know what you thought about curving the tail on the letter R. The first example is the original Palatino font, second is a minor curve and the third is a major curve. Do you think its needed at all?
Also, what do you think about this font choice? I really like how is compliments the thick to thin strokes on the logo, I did also try gotham light but this type just stood out more, do you have any more suggestions on the font itself?

Hi There,
The following designs are for a new charity ’ Art Platform’ that hopes to receive money from selling works of art that have been gifted to the charity. Looking to venture into artwork range of £500 - £5000 priced pieces of work, rather than my Grannies watercolours. Mainly contemporary pieces but open to to classical works too.
Idea 1: http://cl.ly/f0746fbdfee3a105cf2c
Developed from the idea of a Mondrian stylised letterforms of the word ‘art’. Originally one icon shape but broke it down into the three, as the client wanted more of a community feel in the designs to reflect the Charity.
Idea 2: http://cl.ly/7786c665a442d115a046
My least favourite but developing an idea of the client’s, although their least favourite, has had good feed backfrom others, idea was that lettering could be removed and the shapes be etched into glass plaques that would go with artwork.
Idea 3: http://cl.ly/6c80661acdb0bae11221
Was a favourite of the client 1st AW made some revisions to sharpen the typeface of art was too classical before, and pulled in the circle to bring in the community, although I feel it may be a bit love hate with that bit.
Any suggestions all welcome…
Also thanks for the blog post Graham, thought i’d give it a try!!

Hello, I’m starting my own business as a photographer and would like some feedback to my logo design. Its all fonts, designed with that “photography” look that you have probably seen on so many other photographer websites where they use a combo of a script/handwriting with another text line. I chose to make my name look hand written and the word photography be the text. All feed back is welcome, at times I love this logo, but other times I feel its missing something that would put it into a great logo category. So thats why I’m submitting this for feedback. I did a test run of this logo along with about 9 others on my facebook page and this is the design that was picked by an overwhelming number of my target audience (moms and females who make all the photography buying decisions of the family). So I will appreciate all feedback and criticisms. Thanks!

With this logotype I tryed to convey minimalistic and elegant ideas, features that I love the most.
The “squared” part is made to go on work’s empty space or “frames” and also on social networks profile; the complete one is made to go on personal website and on all the pieces that a full identity need.
I need general and more explicit feedback and conseils about typeface, kerning ecc…I need every feedback or conseil!
Really, thank you for your time

I was not quite impressed with my earlier proposals to my client Abubaker who wanted a small logo to put it on his photography business card, website and probably as a watermark.
My client Abubaker wanted a small logo to put it on his photography business card, website and probably as a watermark.
This being my first venture to do commercial branding, i am quite critical to get it right. Placed here is the logo, watermark and a potential concept for a website header (done in colors with photographs taken by client embedded).
The concept is still in its primitive stage, I would love to get your feedback on any possible scope for improvement as i this being my first venture, i want to get it right.
I came up with the idea of using a camera dial with the icons representing the photography my client specializes in i.e Kids, portrait and street. He felt he would also require a sample with the letter “a” in the dial. (I am not quite sure if sample 2 resembles a dial by any case)
I would love to get your feedback on any/all possible scopes for improvement as i this being my first venture, i want to get it right.
Thanks.
