The Logo Clinic (PHPcenter)

Walk in with a logo design you need some help with – walk out with a fresh perspective.

The Logo Clinic is free, but as this is a side project for me (Graham Smith), I can't promise replies will be immediately forthcoming.

Please bear in mind, some of the advice will be of a personal nature, so anything I suggest should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Hi there! This clinic is a really cool initiative

Now I have this project to make a logo for a new PHP portal. The brief was indeed very brief and I made some mockups to get a feeling of the direction they wanted.

Some feedback: The wording PHP is very important and should be very clear and not modified. The feeling should not be too ‘business’ or ‘cold’. Instead it should convey a ‘community’ feeling and ‘warmth’.

The result of this “indirect” research is the attached logo, and it was also accepted by the client.

Now I’d love to get some feedback from you, because I feel a lil’ bit stuck with all the different comments from people just expressing their specific taste.

What colors could communicate keywords as warmth and community and what other things could be adjusted in general to improve the logo overall.
